Erin Ashenhurst is a writer, designer, and faculty member at the Wilson School of Design at KPU. With an interest in visual narrative, her projects explore themes including: design, humour, identity, memory, and urban landscape. She holds a BFA in Visual Art, and an MA in Interactive Arts and Technology (SFU). She has been an artist-in-residence at the Banff Centre (2010), and presented her academic work in Istanbul (ISEA 2011), Oxford (Monstrous Geographies I, 2012), Prague (Monstrous Geographies 2, 2013 ), and Vancouver (Canadian Culinary Imaginations, 2016). Her creative writing can be found in Slate, The Globe and Mail, The Toast, The Tyee, and Room Magazine.
